Now that we’ve entered the final month of 2020, I would be remiss if I did not recognize the growing number of active COVID-19 cases throughout our state, and acknowledge the strain this places on our members as you work to provide essential services to your community. Public Entity Partners has labored with you throughout this year, and we’re still hard at work, responding to your loss control and underwriting questions, while continuing to handle the liability, property and workers’ compensation claims that are submitted each day. During this pandemic, we encourage you to always make the health and safety of your employees and team members your highest priority, and take the necessary steps to ensure they are protected as much as reasonably possible.

Message from the President - October 2020
While the month of October brings an end to our 40th anniversary year, it also marks the beginning of the next 40 years of serving our membership. Last night our director of member services, Callie Westerfield, and I had the privilege of attending the City of Columbia's council meeting where Mayor Chaz Molder, Vice-Mayor Dr. Christa Martin, and City Manager Tony Massey accepted a recognition award for 40 years of membership with Public Entity Partners. Barrett Jones, the first Chairman of Public Entity Partners, then called the TML Insurance Pool, was also in attendance to receive the recognition award. Our organization is grateful for the opportunity to partner with and serve our members and continues to look for ways to strengthen that partnership.

Greetings! September’s arrival marks the start of a new season, as well as a new chapter at Public Entity Partners. I was recently named President / CEO by our Board of Directors, and am sincerely honored to begin serving our members in this new role. For the past 34 years, I have come to work each day confident in the knowledge that the products and services offered by Public Entity Partners are second to none. These include training, consulting, risk control surveys, grants and scholarships, comprehensive insurance options and expert claims administration. One of our primary goals is to support cities, towns and municipal agencies across our state by providing best-practice recommendations that will help keep your employees safe, safeguard public resources and assist you in serving your citizens.
