Risk & Insurance Symposium
Please join us for the 2025 Risk & Insurance Symposium. Public Entity Partners is delighted to have members from across the state joining us for three days of enriching educational sessions and valuable networking opportunities. In previous years, we have witnessed more than 250 local government officials coming together to connect, earn essential continuing education credits, and gain fresh perspectives on safety and risk management.
This year’s symposium provides high-quality educational opportunities for risk management across various areas of interest to local governments. Participants can register for the entire three-day event or choose specific days that best suit their interests.
Sessions are crafted to enhance participants' understanding of risk and insurance. Attendees will gain practical ideas that they can directly apply within their entities.
Please visit our event website for updates and more information on this year's symposium.
NEW THIS YEAR: MEMBER VOTING FOR BOARD OF DIRECTORS
In accordance with our newly adopted by-laws, effective July 1, 2025, Public Entity Partners will hold a Board Election during the Symposium. For the first time, member entities will vote to elect open seats on our Board of Directors — a major step toward increasing transparency and member engagement.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Each member entity must designate one delegate to cast their vote.
- Delegates must be a municipal employee or official.
- Voting will take place during the Excellence in Risk Management Luncheon on Thursday, October 2.
- Delegate instructions and voting materials will be shared in the coming weeks.

- Mileage
Please note: This is a reimbursement-based program. Selected recipients must submit paid receipts, invoices, or other proof of expenses before funds will be disbursed.
Award Recipient Responsibility:
As a condition of accepting the scholarship, each recipient will serve as the official voting delegate for their entity during the PEP Board of Directors election on Thursday, October 2.
Key Dates:
- Application Deadline: August 1, 2025
- Notification of Award: Week of August 11, 2025
