Public Entity Partners has scheduled several upcoming member workshops during the month of March. These workshops are designed to help members gain a greater understanding of the basics of underwriting and risk management.

Loss Control: Risk Management Basics

Loss control is the process of identifying, mitigating and controlling accidental loss.

Risk management is much more than simply buying insurance. An effective risk management program is crucial for keeping your employees free of injury, reducing liability exposures and conserving your entity’s property.

Public Entity Partner’s loss control department works to partner with your entity to identify your unique exposures and assist you in implementing a risk management program that is specific to your entity’s needs.

Led by PE Partners’ loss control staff, this session will explain our approach and philosophy to partnering with your organization. We will discuss the resources we provide to assist you in reducing liability exposures, as well as how your cooperation has an impact on your premiums.

This session will also help you analyze, understand and address the possibility of a loss. We will share the most frequent claims drivers and provide best practices for preventing future claims.

Underwriting: Understanding Renewal Applications and Coverages

This underwriting training program is aimed at helping members protect themselves financially against modern risks.

Led by PE Partners’ underwriting staff, this program will help ensure that attendees understand the details of insurance coverages available through Public Entity Partners, instruct attendees on properly completing insurance renewal applications, and provide information for obtaining appropriate coverage at the most reasonable cost.

Attendees will also gain a greater understanding of properly valuing property in order to ensure adequate insurance coverage, as well as the ways in which risks currently facing municipal governments are covered.
