Property Conservation Grant Applications Available

As stewards of public tax dollars, our members are tasked with protecting and preserving public facilities. While property coverage can protect you in the event of a loss, taking steps to reduce the severity or frequency of a property loss is sound risk management. The Property Conservation Grant provides funding for the purchase of property loss prevention and control items.

Dresden Fire Department Wins PEP Award

In late 2021, the City of Dresden experienced a disastrous weather event. One of the worst tornado outbreaks ever recorded in the U.S. occurred between the evening hours of December 10th and the morning hours of December 11th in the Midwest, Ohio Valley and Tennessee Valley. During this outbreak, an EF-3 tornado struck parts of northwest Tennessee, devastating areas of Weakley County, including Dresden, before moving north into Kentucky.

Michelle Young Wins PEP Award

Michelle Young, safety coordinator for the City of Cookeville, was selected as the Middle Tennessee Excellence in Risk Management Award winner. Michelle began her employment with Cookeville in July 2005, was promoted to a position within the Human Resources Department in April 2008, and took on additional responsibilities within the department in 2011.
