Public Entity Partners is pleased to announce the renaming of our Safety Partners Grant to the Judy Housley Safety Partners Grant. We are thrilled to be honoring former Casualty Loss Control Consultant Judy Housley for the value she has brought to our organization and membership.

Judy has been described as a “public servant’s public servant,” and has significantly impacted more than 300 cities and nearly 200 local service agencies statewide. Through her work and affiliation with national organizations, such as the National League of Cities RISC programs and the Public Risk Management Association (PRIMA), she helped shape the public risk discipline on a national level.

Judy also received numerous awards and accolades during her tenure with PE Partners, including the John G. Stutz Award from the National League of Cities, the Distinguished Service Award from the Tennessee Public Risk Management Association and the Southeast Loss Control Group’s Distinguished Service Award. We are proud to attach her name to our longest-standing grant.

We send our congratulations to Judy for this honor and her recent, well-deserved retirement. The exhaustive and diligent work that she performed in her 37-year career with PE Partners has made cities safer, prevented untold numbers of accidents and injuries, prevented on-the-job fatalities and helped protect municipal properties. We thank her for the difference she has made through her many years of dedicated service.

The Judy Housley Safety Partners Grant will open on July 1 and close on Aug. 16 at 4 p.m. CST. This grant provides funding for PE Partners’ members to purchase safety and loss prevention items or training aimed at reducing work-related injuries and accidents. Recipients of the grant will be notified the week of Sept. 9.
